Today Chiloe pulled off the best retrieve I have ever seen from one of my dogs. Wind and white caps hampered hunting. When this duck flew in I shot it but it flew quite a ways before falling from the sky dead. I looked at Chiloe and could tell he saw it go down. Once I sent him he went quite a distance before the wind and waves disoriented him. I hand signaled my boy 3 times as the waves were carrying the duck even farther. Chiloe finally caught up to the duck and brought it home. I did not think until he was almost back about a picture but if you look in the background he swam about halfway to the tree line. WOW!!!
Told you I would get it dad, now shoot another. I took a deep sigh of relief when my boy got back to the boat!!!!!!
